Deploying your Web Connection Application

This section covers topics of the issues involved in installing a Web Connection application on a live Web Server. This process usually consists of:

  • Installing IIS on the Server
  • Installing FoxPro Runtimes on the Server
  • Compiling your project for deployment
  • Deploying your Application Files (Binaries, Data and HTML/Scripts)
  • Configuring Web Connection
  • Configuring COM operation (COM Mode only)

After you've deployed files the easiest way to perform the remaining tasks is by using the Server Configuration Wizard, which lets you do the following:

  • Create Application Pool
  • Create Virtual Directory
  • Create Scriptmaps
  • Set Folder Permissions
